Every Performance Matters

Dance & Share collects gently used and new dance costumes and redistributes them free of charge to dancers whose families cannot afford them. Every costume we give is an opportunity for a child to stand in the lights, feel the music, and experience the magic of performance.

Our Mission

Helping Every Dancer Shine

Dance has the power to inspire confidence, spark creativity, and create a sense of belonging. Yet for many dancers, the cost of costumes can become a barrier to participating in the performances and experiences they love.

Our mission is to ensure that no dancer misses an opportunity to shine because of financial limitations. By collecting and redistributing gently used dance costumes, we connect generous studios and dancers with schools, community centers, and youth programs that need support.

Every costume carries a story: a recital, a competition, a standing ovation, a special memory. We believe those stories should not end in a storage bin. Instead, they can become part of a new dancer's journey, helping them step onto the stage with confidence, pride, and excitement.

Through kindness, community, and a shared love of dance, we are giving costumes a second life and helping more performers experience the joy, expression, and magic of being on stage.

Who We Are

Founder

Emily Paige Matushansky is a high school student and dedicated dancer who has spent years training, performing, and growing through dance. Throughout her dance journey, she has experienced firsthand the confidence, discipline, creativity, and friendships that dance can foster.

Beyond the studio, Emily enjoys finding ways to use her interests to make a positive impact in her community. Her experiences in dance inspired her to think about how resources that are often overlooked can be repurposed to help others. What began as a simple observation grew into an opportunity to connect people through a shared love of dance.

Emily founded Dance & Share as a way to combine her passion for dance with her desire to help others. She hopes to continue expanding the organization and encouraging dancers, studios, and communities to work together to create opportunities for performers.
